What is Kriya Yoga?
Kriya is a Sanskrit word that means action; action that liberates. In the context of a practice, kriyas are techniques that support evolution and growth. They incorporate elements like breathwork, mudra, mantra, movement, and sound in order to facilitate an energetic experience.
Most of the yoga that we do in the West is called asana. Most of my asana classes incorporate kriya to different degrees. If you are a new to kriya, you can expect a new and exciting experience. You don’t need anything at all but an open mind and a willing heart.

Deep Winter Sadhana
4 Weeks of Yogic Study
This is an online offering | $138
Four Thursdays—January 8, 15, 22, 29—from 6:30-8:30PM
Our sadhana is our daily spiritual practice; the way we tend to our own growth and fulfillment with intention and consistency. Winter is naturally an inward season. An invitation, in its darkness, to turn in toward contemplation. To root into the rituals that keep us warm—in the body, heart, and spirit.
Deep Winter Sadhana is a four-week container for beginning a new year with devotion to oneself. We will meet weekly on Thursdays for two hours. These sessions will consist of:
Yogic practice (mostly kriya yoga—mantra, pranayama, mudra, meditation, and beyond)
Yogic teachings—following our practice, we will explore deeper yogic aspects philosophically, with modern application
